A poem for Arkadii Dragomoshchenko from Cilla McQueen

to AD

as i was reading your poem in Dunedin

you were dying in Russia

this is to say I recognise the span

of your spare word-frame

the unnecessary pared away

to idea shimmering between

you and a flower, in the rain
